What exactly is this Whynot Forum? Simply put, it is inspired by TEDTalks(Technology, Enterntainment, Design), wherein leading thinkers and doers around the globe share their thoughts, ideas, dreams, and experiences, which are then posted on the web for all the world to see.
They envision the WhyNot? Forum as the Filipino version; It is a smorgasboard of great, brave ideas, an open-source innovation soup that will hopefully inspire other Filipinos to connect adjunct thoughts, take impactful action, and weave together new breakthrough ideas — redefining and challenging the inertia of the status quo;
All in the spirit of positive change for the Philippines.
I have seen videos of the TED talks and I’m actually excited that we have one similar here in the Philippines. I’ve always complained that we, Filipinos, just love to check what’s hot in other countries and bring them here, act like copycats then cash in. But for something to be brought here that is similar to the US and pushes for development in our country by having leaders in the society talk to us and inspire us…Why Not?
I’m going to the Whynot Forum 6.0 tomorrow, April 25 and so are my friends from Entrepbuff (they will talk). How about you?
